How can I create and find my own foods?

You can create your foods in the app by following these steps:

  1. Open your YAZIO Diary and click on the + button.
  2. Choose your desired meal category.
  3. Click on the three dots in the top-right corner.
  4. You can choose the option that suits you best and proceed with the creation process.

Private foods are homemade or store-bought items that are only visible to you. Have a look here to learn how to edit or delete them

On the other hand, public foods are visible to all users. For example, you can find them anywhere in the search results or when you scan a barcode. Here, you can find out how to edit them.

If you create a “New food without barcode” that is “store-bought”, you can disable the option “Private food” to make it public. However, “homemade” food created without a barcode is automatically private and cannot be made public.

You can access your created foods by clicking on the + button in one of the meal categories in your Diary and then checking in any of the following areas, depending on your case:
  1. If you have created a food and left it marked as a “Favorite” (with the star on the top right corner of the screen), you will always see it under your “Favorites” list.
  2. If you have already entered your created food in your Diary, you can find it under the “Recent” tab.

Once you select the desired food, add it to your Diary. If you want, you can also edit or delete your created foods here.

Additionally, by clicking on any of your meal categories, you can use our search bar to look for products exclusively from your created foods and recipes and add them to your Diary. You can do this by selecting the "Created by me" filter in the search. Have a look here to learn more about all the options and filters for your search.
