You can create your own food in the app by following these steps:

1. Tap the + button for any meal category in your Yazio Diary.
2. Swipe the tabs at the top to the left until the three dots appear.
3. Tap on the three dots in the top-right corner.
4. Choose the option that suits you best and proceed with the creation process.

Private and public foods

Private foods are homemade or store-bought items that are only visible to you.

On the other hand, public foods are visible to all users. For example, you can find them anywhere in the search results or when you scan a barcode.

If you create a “New food without barcode” that is “store-bought”, you can disable the option “Private food” to make it public. However, “homemade” food created without a barcode is automatically private and cannot be made public.

Foods created with a barcode are automatically public. Editing public foods is currently only available to Pro users. 🚀

How can I find my created foods?

You can access your created foods by clicking on the + button in one of your meal categories in the Diary and then checking any of the following areas, depending on your case:

• If you have created a food and marked it as a “Favorite” (with the star in the top-right corner of the screen), you will always see it in your “Favorites” list.
• If you have already entered your created food in your Diary, you can find it under the “Recent” tab.
• Use the "Created by me" filter when searching with the search bar.

How can I edit or delete the foods I created?

Private food items (whether homemade or store-bought) can always be edited and deleted.

To edit or delete a private food you created:

1. Find your food using one of the methods described above.
2. Select the food you want to edit or delete.

Android

• Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
• Select Edit Product or Delete Product.

iOS

• Scroll down.
• Select Edit product or Delete product.
