Do you want your steps and burned calories to be taken into account in the app?
If you would like to see how many steps you’ve taken and the calories you’ve burned from them in your YAZIO Diary, you have different options. Please keep in mind that the YAZIO app doesn’t function as a pedometer. Therefore, it doesn’t automatically count your steps. To have your daily steps and burned calories on YAZIO, you can either connect YAZIO to a third-party app or enter your steps manually.
Do you want to connect YAZIO to a third-party app?
Use a third-party app that our app supports to record your steps automatically.
Sync this app with YAZIO as follows:
- Switch to the Profile section
- Scroll down to the “Automatic Tracking” section.
- Select the provider you would like to sync with.
- Click on “Connect” and follow the instructions on the screen (you may need to log in to the third-party application or accept certain data-sharing permissions).
- Refresh your Diary screen. Not long after, the steps should appear in your Diary.
Please note: Depending on the provider, it might take a bit longer for all the desired steps to be transferred to YAZIO. Therefore, we ask for your patience. For further clarification, you can check out the respective help articles in the “Apps & Devices” category.
Supported Third-Party Providers:
- Apple Health (iOS)
- Google Fit (Android)
- Fitbit
- Garmin
- Polar Flow
- Samsung Health (Android)
- Huawei Health (Android)
If you wish for other third-party providers to connect to YAZIO soon, don’t forget to share your suggestion with us (in English) and vote for existing suggestions here: https://feedback-en.yazio.com/.
Are you using an unsupported pedometer/app?
If you already own a specific pedometer, please check if it is compatible with or comes from any of the providers mentioned above. This way, you can easily transfer the steps from your pedometer to YAZIO through the third-party app.
If you would like to use a different app on your smartphone to count your steps, please check if the app syncs with any of the aforementioned providers. Many activity-tracking apps support data transfer directly to Apple Health or Google Fit. From here, you will be able to transfer your steps directly to YAZIO.
Do you want to enter your steps manually?
If your pedometer cannot be connected to YAZIO as described above, you can manually enter your steps in the Diary. In order to see this option, you should first make sure to disconnect any automatic data transfer under the "Automatic Tracking" section. Please go to your Profile tab , scroll down to the "Automatic Tracking" section, and disconnect the app with which you were transferring your data (e.g, Apple Health, Google Fit, Garmin, etc.) by selecting it and then clicking on "Disconnect".
You can then return to the Diary and manually record your steps under the "Activities" section. Simply scroll down to "Activities", click "Enter steps manually", and enter the steps and the distance.
Please note that this feature is only available for PRO users.
