⚠️ Fitbit syncing is switching to Google Health (Fitbit) (Here's how it work)
Data sync overview
Fitbit to Yazio:
- Steps, training activities and burned calories
- Body weight
- Body fat
Yazio to Fitbit:
- Food entries, calories, and nutrients
- Water intake
Connection requirements
To establish a connection:
- Make sure you have a Yazio Pro subscription.
- Download the Fitbit app and log in to your Fitbit account.
- Activate the connection under Automatic Tracking in your Yazio Profile.
- Enable all permissions.
Syncing process
The calories corresponding to your steps and workouts are transmitted to Yazio. Within the app, under Steps, we indicate the number of steps taken under normal conditions or during a workout. However, we only consider the steps not already tracked through an added activity. To do this, we automatically subtract your step calories from the exercise calories and only post the difference between the two. 💡
Check your Fitbit account settings if you feel the activity calories are too high. Burned calories can only be calculated correctly if you have correctly entered your data there. We do not influence Fitbit's calorie calculation.
Troubleshooting data transfer
Data between Fitbit and Yazio are not transferred in real time because Fitbit only allows a certain amount of data requests per hour.
What you can do:
- Reload/refresh your Yazio Diary page.
- Reload/refresh the dashboard in the Fitbit app.
- Completely close and reopen the Fitbit app.
My data is not transferring
In your Fitbit app, please ensure that the registered Fitbit account is the same as the one you used to connect with Yazio.
I still have connection issues
Our User Success Team will be happy to look closely at your problem. Please send us the following screenshots as part of your request:
- The overview of the Activities section in your Yazio Diary.
- The overview of your Fitbit dashboard, where you can see your steps/workouts.
- The full User ID, under Profile → Settings → Account → User ID → Copy.
